She called me WHAT?
My client called me intuitive the other day.
At first, I wasn’t sure what to think. It’s one of those words typically reserved for those in the online space who profess more of the ‘spiritual’ than the ‘Christian’, right?
Or so I thought.
Because yet again, ‘intuitive’ is one of those words which the world has STOLEN as though God hasn’t wired some of His children to be EXACTLY THAT – intuitive.
You might call it discernment. But the idea behind it is the same of course. It’s that sense of seeing or feeling BEYOND what’s being presented.
The truth is I’ve been like that my whole life. Maybe you can relate? Understanding the undertones. Listening for what’s NOT being said. That’s me.
And so really, I was only half surprised when my client told me that that’s what I was.
We were talking about her business. Her desire to get it off the ground and the fact that she knew she was getting in her own way with limiting beliefs around whether or not people would approve of her charging for her services, whether or not they would even like what she had to say. The voice note continued…
But I had to interrupt.
You see, I was LISTENING to the exterior – the money stories, the mindset muddle. But what I was HEARING was very different.
You see I HEARD resentment about life not going to plan and pain around no longer being in a previous job.
And that’s when she said it over one of our voice notes.
“Wow. This is so accurate. You’re so intuitive.” And the conversation continued…
And I was so, so delighted for my client because I knew that now we’d found the ROOT, she’d get the breakthrough.
So often, we plough in thinking that the only way we’re going to see real success (financial, health, spiritual etc.) we have to DO more. We have to add so many moving parts we feel dizzy, and we have to make sure everything’s in the right place.
All of this before we even check whether or not we’re in the right place?
Something doesn’t add up for me there. As if, in order to truly be who God is calling us to be and to do what He’s calling us to do, it’s about all of the exterior things first.
It’s time for a heart check.
My client and I are now working through some of those areas which have come up through some journaling work and the shifts she’s ALREADY been seeing have led to her showing up more powerfully and she’s even had some women enquiring about her services. Less than a week after our ‘revelation’.
Inner work is where the results in anything ‘outer’ actually happen. There’s no other way around it.
