First love & God's sense of humour

Valentine's day these days is a sweet reminder to me that God really does have a sense of humour.

It was shortly after valentines day a whole SEVEN years ago when I first started this whole blogging venture.

I’d just been dumped by my then boyfriend. (You can still read it if you type ‘love’ in the search bar on my website!)

I’d written in journals for years and for some bizarre reason, I felt led to publish my thoughts this time.

I loved it and never looked back. (Even if my posting has been pretty sporadic over the years.)

So there I was, a newly single status surrounded with (mostly) married friends reminding myself (and the internet, apparently) of my first love.

THAT message hasn’t changed.

When we get our heads around the fact that we are LOVED beyond measure by a holy and perfect GOD, everything really does change…

So much so that not living it out the life to the full we’ve been promised in Him just doesn’t make sense.

At least that’s what we should be thinking when we allow our pity parties to leave and we fully step into who we are.

So this sense of humour thing I have with God?

No, it’s not because I’m now happily married (5 years this summer) although that’s part of it, of course…

It’s actually because of some of what I said in that very first post. Check it out:

“Before I opened this blog earlier, I wondered whether writing one would be deemed a bit pretentious and self-centred. The truth is it might be. But I know and appreciate the importance of honesty. I think you do too.”

So here I was, writing my first ever blog post and worrying whether or not it might come across as ‘a bit much’. Back then it was literally just a blog post. I think the me seven years ago would have been HUGELY alarmed if she’d looked seven years down the line and realised that she was no longer running a blog which she hoped her family and friends would read, but actually, a business which reaches people all over the world.

God saw my small (and uncertain) steps and HE did the rest. Just like He’s continuing to do.

You don’t have to have it all mapped out.
You don’t have to know how it ends.
You don’t have to feel 100% comfortable before you do your first or next thing in your business (or business to be).

Turns out you don’t have to FEEL 100% okay either. Just like I didn’t 7 years ago when I first pressed publish.

When you truly know who you are and Whose you are, everything changes.

THAT is the message of love I want to scream the loudest today.

And every day really.

BUT, it wouldn’t be Valentines without gifts, right?

WELLLLLL…

I’m SOOOO excited about sharing this with you.

You see, for years I’ve taught Biblical truth for real life. It just so happens that ‘real life’ for me looks like business now. But the Biblical truth bit hasn’t gone anywhere. I doubt it ever will.

Which means that when my latest program idea started coming up and I started thinking, praying and journaling on it, I was literally like “OF COURSE!”

It’s sooo fitting. Me seven years ago would be clapping and cheering.

I bring to you…

Doors to Biblical Business Academy are OFFICIALLY OPEN!

This Academy is my monthly membership program which has been created to support you in building a BIBLICAL business.

Because you’re SO tired and confused about the mixed messages cropping up in the online space every 5 minutes - The ones that sound nothing like the Biblical foundation you’re trying to build your life on.

But your church aren’t speaking about business, money and work/life balance either.

So you’re stuck.

You’re contemplating working with people who use ‘God’ and ‘universe’ interchangeably because at least that’s ‘something kind of spiritual’…

But hold on…

Since when were you one to settle?

Since when did you decide that the God of immeasurably more was content to give you ‘just about okay’?

Well… you know that not to be true in theory, I suppose. But when your options look like avoiding talking about money and success altogether or saying yes to prosperity preaching, you’re more tempted than you’d like to admit to go with the latter because you DO want to talk about these things.

  • Just IMAGINE you feeling 100% rooted in sharing your purpose-driven work in FULL confidence that there is ZERO sleaze when it comes to you selling your products and services.
  • Imagine feeling TOTALLY FREE, having zero guilt around charging for your products and services.
  • And IMAGINE recognising that your business isn’t just a ‘nice idea’ but actually, an integral part of your God-given MISSION here on earth.

You don't need to simply imagine any longer.

HEY! I’m Naomi, Business Coach for High-Level Female Entrepreneurs & Founder of Living Word League.

I coach, write, teach and run programs which infuse practical strategies with Biblical principles (which I personally think is the best rule of thumb for success.) I moved from a 7-year High School teaching career, to building and scaling my business after starting out as a hobby-status blogger in 2011. Within months, I was able to go totally full time and haven't looked back. My success, as someone who previously would have never seen myself as an entrepreneur means that I'm now beyond passionate about business being an expression of Kingdom-building here on earth. Hobby status and inconsistent feast to famine months aren't cutting it for you anymore right? You're meant for a business which has faith as your foundation AND soars with success. That's where I come in.
