Remember how far you've come (An open letter)

Of course you can kick and scream… but are you staying down there?

I mean look, you might not have hit that big financial goal or filled out your program yet. But do you realise how far you’ve come?

Do you realise that this time last year, the stuff you’ve achieved by this point would have been laughable? I mean, remember that time when you weren’t even sure you could bring yourself to do a Facebook live? Well, you did one eventually, right? Wasn’t so bad afterall huh?

Of course it wasn’t. And that led to the next step, and the next, which led to the one after that. And every time you took a step you were terrified, but you still took it.

And now you’re throwing your toys out of the pram and saying that business can’t be for you after all.

Last time I checked, you weren’t a quitter.

Last time I checked, you KNEW that nothing worth actually having ever came without a cost. And so yes, sometimes there will be late nights and frustration. There will be fear and doubt and uncertainty. But that’s simply the moment you exercise those faith muscles and realise that you’re not going down without a fight.

Because you’re not, are you?

Have you not worked yourself to the point of no return yet?

You know the one… Where you start realising that going back to anything else is not something which is up for discussion.  You’re not seriously going to fill out those application forms and head to those interviews are you?

Now we’ve got that bit cleared up, let’s get back on track.

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and remind yourself of who you are.

Remember why you started this in the first place. Remember the buzz you felt when you made your first sale. It was then wasn’t it? It was that moment when you realised that this was for the long haul, and so you got to work…

But then (as is the case with EVERY business by the way) there were one or two complications, one or two hiccups, the odd bad day or week and you started this whole negative chatter again.

PLEASE LISTEN… This is the work you’ve been created for. A bad day isn’t a bad business.

And so since quitting isn’t an option, it’s time to revisit those moments you’ve felt most powerful.

That program launch.

That high-ticket sale.

That super-engaged live stream.

That comment which made your day.

Those clients making their own amazing results.

All of it as a result of you taking aligned action and doing the work.

All of it a reminder that you know how to do this. You know how to put one foot in front of the other and do the work.

And so let’s GO.

I’ve got some questions for you to think and journal through.

When you think about your business right now, what are the emotions which come up? Why?

If it would just take ONE piece of action to move things forward today, what would you do?

Can you do that now?

Sometimes a bit of self-care is honestly all you need to get yourself back to a place where you’re feeling good. Now, I don’t mean allowing for it to become a couple of weeks of Netflix and nothing else (unless that’s what’s aligned I suppose) but you being burned out isn’t serving anyone. So as you think through your current workload, consider this…

Do you need a day off?

If so, take one. But then tomorrow, fire your laptop back up, answer your emails and get your work out into the world.

It can feel hard, sure. But it doesn’t have to be complicated. You already know deep down, perhaps REALLY deep down, what it is that you actually want, right?

Because perhaps the stalling isn’t actually due to things not working after all. Perhaps it’s down to YOU not working… at least not on the stuff you know you’re actually here for.

You’re wondering what they will say, what they’ll do if you say THAT.

You’re worried that you’ll launch and no one will buy.

You’re worried that you’ll launch and become an overnight hit and not know how to handle it.

Another question then:

If you weren’t concerned about the opinions of anyone else, what would you say/do/write/launch now?

If you knew you couldn’t fail, what would be your next venture?

Based on your answers to those questions…

Are your current actions following fear, or faith?

It’s time for your actions to be bigger than your excuses. No one said it would be easy and so now that’s a reality in this present moment, you get to make your choice.

My guess is that you’ll choose to hang in there because that’s what you’ve always done. You won’t regret it either – you never do. Taking the steps, doing the work and getting the results.

There are so many people who can’t wait to see and hear what you have to offer them. Remember that there’s progress in your process, realise how far you’ve come and then stay the course.

The world is waiting for your work.
