The three letters which will throw you off...
Writing a blog about not writing a blog sounds like the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. But there we go. That’s what’s happening and so I’m rolling with it.
Because here’s the thing.
I have so much to share with you. So much I want to tell you over a glass of rose (or coffee if you’d prefer). I want to look directly at you and tell you that there’s SO MUCH MORE for you to do. You might know that full well. You might battle with the idea that this is true daily for all I know. Or you might be one of the ones who think this is for ‘the other people’ as though there’s something special about us.
As I sit here at my laptop in my active wear (despite having already done my workout earlier, showering and then putting on more active wear because comfort) I can ASSURE you that there’s nothing special about me.
Well… nothing and everything. Same for you really. There’s nothing which ‘qualifies’ anyone to do this. Nothing aside from believing God at His word and trusting that He who has said He will be with us until the very end of the age is right next to me as I put pen to paper, fingers to keyboard and do the work.
THAT is what this takes. There is no magic ingredient. And these are all the things I want to say. I have blog post topics and messages flowing from me like never before right now. I know that a lot of that is of course because I’ve realised that writing is a huge part of me and since I’ve reignited that flame, it’s continued to burn bright.
But then I got tripped up.
I thought about one of the posts I want to share with you. One of the messages I’ve got to share. And then the dreaded three letter word crept in trying to snatch my alignment and flow like I was the last person on earth to possess it.
‘How’?
Eugh. So annoying.
You see, it’s not like I don’t know how to blog. I mean it’s literally just writing words. But I’m revamping my blog page over the next few days so that it’s a bit easier to navigate. It’ll mean you’ll be able to find certain categories better and get to where you need to go next should you choose to.
And that’s all great. But I was deciding that I couldn’t possibly share my message (which ironically I’m now not sharing because I’ve got to share this one first) until I’d got the pretty blog together first. As if my message was going to be ANY different because I had some links and pictures and whatever.
So irrelevant.
Funnily enough, this is the exact same thing I talk to my clients and program members about. Last night, in fact, I was sending some voice notes to an incredible business owner client of mine who was overcomplicating things ON PURPOSE. We got to the root of the fact that it gets to be easier than we so often make it.
Because no one cares if your header is in the right place if you actually have something good to say.
No one is frustrated about your one broken link if your message is calling them to action. (They’ll find you if they want to.)
And no one is wondering when you’re going to update your photos because they’re too engrossed in what the truth you’re sharing is doing for their hearts and souls.
So can we agree to stop?
Can we drop the how and recognise that the how will come with time? Often after you take the first step with the ‘what’ without having to try and rationalise and explain and perfect.
Press pause on perfection. Stop allowing it to be an excuse for why you’re not further ahead already. God has the how. Are you willing to trust Him? Play your part and watch the rest unfold.
I’m not waiting for a tomorrow (which isn’t promised by the way) to share my message because I want to make things look better first… Like, when you reread that sentence can see how bizarre that sounds? Me too. Hence this message.
Share your message, even when you’re shaking (or even if your website is shaky haha.)
The world is waiting for your work.

HEY! I’m Naomi, Business Coach for High-Level Female Entrepreneurs & Founder of Living Word League.
I coach, write, teach and run programs which infuse practical strategies with Biblical principles (which I personally think is the best rule of thumb for success.) I moved from a 7-year High School teaching career, to building and scaling my business after starting out as a hobby-status blogger in 2011. Within months, I was able to go totally full time and haven't looked back. My success, as someone who previously would have never seen myself as an entrepreneur means that I'm now beyond passionate about business being an expression of Kingdom-building here on earth. Hobby status and inconsistent feast to famine months aren't cutting it for you anymore right? You're meant for a business which has faith as your foundation AND soars with success. That's where I come in.
