Why I'm not interested in running self-study programs like this...
I signed up for TWO programs on Black Friday (anyone else love taking advantage of the sales? 💰) and have only watched like 6% of the training they’ve provided.
There’s no Facebook group attached. There’s no support from the person who created them... and that’s fine. I knew that when I signed up. It’s up to me... I’ll get to it.
Here’s why I personally will NOT run programs like that...(no shade to anyone who does.)
After being a High School teacher for 7 years, I KNOW how people learn and *spoiler alert*, it’s not by throwing 3000 training videos at them and saying “off you go - enjoy! 👋🏽”
That might work to a degree. But do you know what works best?
• Accountability.
• Support.
• Guidance.
That’s why each of my programs, even the ‘self-study’ ones include a Facebook community for you to mastermind in (I mean, you even get a Facebook community when you join my $27 workshops!!!) They also include AT LEAST monthly support & guidance from me in the form of a live stream Q & A and training session.

Because yes, I’m in business to generate income just like everyone else. (Who else has goals for a 6-figure 2018?) but that’s not my WHY and it never will be. Money isn’t ENOUGH of a driver for me...
This reminder from two years ago pinged up on my Facebook feed earlier (thanks, Facebook memories!💜) 2016 was the year I decided to be more intentional with the call on my life... and so I started the year with sending out a devotional to my list of less than 50 people in the hopes that it would remind them of all they’ve been given in God - by God!
✅ Two years ago I’d NEVER sold anything online ever.
✅ Two years ago I had less than 50 people on my email list and most of them were my family and friends. (Who am I kidding? 5 of them were probably my own email addresses.)
✅ Two years ago I was 4 months out of being laid off as a high school teacher and knew that despite that set back, God wasn’t finished with me and I was here to make a difference with the work He was calling me to do.
So I blogged... every day, thousands of words, whatever God put on my heart. No ‘call to action’, nothing really but what God was asking me to share... with 30 or so people.
The funny thing is, I got quite a few comments like this off of the back of that series - and I KNEW it was just the beginning.
Which is why it FRUSTRATES me so much when someone turns up online, writes two blogs posts, hosts a webinar & wonders where their clients willing to pay them $10k are... It’s not how it WORKS, people.
This is NOT a game of ‘let’s see how LITTLE support I can give people for MAXIMUM profit.’ I mean, seriously. People aren’t stupid. (And doesn’t that just feel a little gross to you?)
And yes, this blog post has got a little ranty but I’m SO TIRED OF IT.
In 2017 I:
🥂 Surpassed the annual salary I made as a High School teacher (in my FIRST year of business.)
🥂 Fully booked my 1:1 twice and launched 3 programs/courses, ran a mastermind & hosted two rounds of my 4-hour Boot Camp.
🥂 Ran countless free trainings (literally, I’ve lost count), live streams, webinars etc.
🥂 Was a featured guest on a number of blogs, podcasts, radio stations and more.
🥂 Mobilised over 60 women for Kingdom business through my programs and courses.
And it’s all because I’m passionate about YOU living the life God wants you to live and have been since my first blog post in 2011.
So if you’ve watched or read about my latest announcement with closing down my 1:1 and wondered why, now you know. This is about me mobilising as many of you as possible to DO WHAT GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO DO.
I can’t be any more clear.
Life isn’t forever.
